4 weeks go to!
Hi! I'm Huw, I've been appointed the 'official GWLS blogger'. You may know me from Brickset, the LEGO set guide and database.
The next month will be a very busy period for the members of the Brickish Association that are displaying at the show. Now the kids are back at school, most of them will be busy putting the finishing touches on their models or, in some cases, finding the time to actually start to build something!
As part of the preparations during the run up to the show I will be posting articles featuring some of the models, builders and vendors that'll be at the show, to help you get the most from your visit. I hope to post something every couple of days so be sure to check back regularly.
At previous years' events I've always enjoyed talking to people who know me from Brickset, and I think it's great when Brickset users meet each other, often for the first time. To make it even easier to do this this year, we will be handing out name badges that, should you wish to, you can wear round your neck so that when you bump into someone else with a similar one, you'll know they too are a Brickset user. I'll post more information about this here and at Brickset nearer the time.
If you haven't already purchased your tickets, I recommend that you consider buying them in advance from Swindon Tickets. Although there is a booking fee you will save a considerable amount of time on the day queueing, particualrly if you're planning on arriving in the morning when the queues can be lengthy.
I think that's enough by way of an introduction: on Monday I'll be writing about James Pegrum's very impressive Roman Temple and on Wednesday I'll feature one of the vendors that will be at the show.
