Drag Racing Competition - a successful competition

Drag Racing 3rd place

The Drag Racing competition was successful, we had lots of participants.

First and third prices were won by members of the public. The picture on the right shows the third place. As for the slowest racer it was a very tight race between a boat and a truck powered by a micro motor.

Unfortunately we also had some racers who didn't make it to the finish line, but their builders will try to improve the steering for the 2011 Great Western LEGO show.

More pictures will follow here and on Flickr.

Simply Bricks are all set for STEAM

Simply Bricks

For the second year, Mike and Emma (aka Simply Bricks) tell us they are delighted to be supporting The Brickish Association and the Great Western LEGO Show by bringing their store to STEAM; and once again they will be dragging the family in to help.

They are certainly living up to their motto of 'From Bricks to Kits' as we hear they will be bringing a wide variety of products for sale.  Among their stock will be grab bags of LEGO bricks and Technic as well as Primo and Duplo for those budding baby builders! There will also be kits of all shapes and sizes with prices ranging from pocket money to 'Dad, get your cheque book out!'.  Some of the sets available from Simply Bricks are no longer available from high street shops, having been discontinued over time.
